World-leading CRM provider appoints new Chief Marketing Officer
CUPERTINO, Calif. – December 12, 2018 – SugarCRM Inc.®, the company that helps organizations build better business relationships, today announces the appointment of Melissa Sargeant as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Sargeant moves to SugarCRM following nearly three years as CMO with global e-commerce cloud-based solutions provider ChannelAdvisor, where she ran worldwide marketing initiatives, including corporate and product branding, demand generation, product marketing, public relations and event management.
Prior to that role, Sargeant was Vice President of Marketing at Avalara and, in total, has more than 25 years of marketing experience in the tech sector, developing expertise in areas including go-to-market strategy & execution, loyalty, content marketing and digital demand generation.
News of the appointment further underpins SugarCRM’s strategy of global growth, following the announcement in July of a strategic and significant investment from technology-focused private equity firm Accel-KKR.
