Introducing the SugarCRM Mobile SDK
Announced last week at SugarCon, SugarCRM’s new Mobile SDK (software development kit) enables developers to extend Sugar Mobile functionality beyond what is possible out of the box. Now, SugarCRM customers can quickly and easily build customizations for Sugar Mobile, akin to what can be done today for the Sugar desktop experience. With the launch of our SDK, companies can now develop purpose-built mobile applications for individuals, roles and teams to make the mobile experience more productive for their employees.
The mobile SDK’s formalized, public APIs and guidelines will help developers extend Sugar Mobile in an upgrade-safe manner. SugarCRM has done the heavy lifting so customers do not need to build their own applications from scratch. In a nutshell, you can extend the mobile app in a fraction of the time it would take to start from scratch.
What does the SDK allow you to do?
Using the SugarCRM Mobile SDK, mobile developers can customize the SugarCRM Mobile app and distribute their custom app through the Apple App Store or Google Play store or, for increased security and ease of distribution, through a private app store.
