What are the deployment options?SugarCRM can be deployed on-demand (on our servers) or on-site (inside your firewall). Customers receive both a license key to download the software and an On-Demand account when they become a customer of Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional. |
How do I access the SugarCRM application?Regardless of deployment options, all Sugar information is accessible through a standard web browser. |
Can I get a demo of the software?You can watch recorded demo of Sugar Professional; sign up for a free 30-day trial or contact a SugarCRM sales representative for an in-person demo. |
How do I purchase SugarCRM products?Once you decide what deployment option fits your company best you can purchase directly from SugarCRM, Inc. or through an authorized reseller. To buy Sugar products directly from us, please visit our online store. Are there extensions available for SugarCRM products?Yes, SugarExchange is the SugarCRM marketplace where any Sugar user wishing to extend core Sugar functionality can choose among hundreds of module extensions, themes and language packs provided by Sugar community members and partners. Partners and developers have created over 500 extensions to the Sugar which can be plugged into any of the Sugar edition. Extensions are managed through the Sugar Module Loader. The developers of these extensions have followed the SugarCRM methodology for connecting their modules into the Sugar architecture. These extensions are third-party applications. We recommend reviewing user feedback on SugarExchange for each extension before loading them. |

Is support included in your products?Yes. Subscriptions to Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional include our standard support plan. Customers can upgrade from the standard to the extended support plan. Support packages expire if subscriptions are not renewed. More information. |
Why is there a 5 license minimum requirement for Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional?Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional are built to support many users and teams within an organization. Customers with less than five users will find that Sugar Community Edition meets their needs. |

Is English the only language you support?SugarCRM has been translated into over 75 languages. Deployments can have multiple languages available to your users if you are a multi-lingual organization, and each user can pick their language preference. You can find the language packs here. |
How do I use my customer support cases?Customer cases are filed through the Support Portal. Please see Support FAQs for more information. |
Technical QuestionsCan I upgrade from one edition to the other?Yes, all products are built on the same code base so you can easily move from one product to another. If you have not customized the application, the process is to run the database upgrade SQL script, provided by SugarCRM, against the open source database to turn it into a pro database. Then run the pro installer and point it to the upgraded database. In a customized system, apply the same database upgrade process as mentioned above. Then merge over the customized files from the open source installation over to the new pro installation. |
How do I get my current data into Sugar?You can easily import data from another CRM solution, or even just a standard spreadsheet using the standard Comma Separated Value (CSV) format. You can import directly into the database, or use the import wizard found in the shortcut menus through out the application. What type of resources does Sugar offer to help me through the implementation process?SugarCRM offers free Getting Started Guides to help ease your company through the implementation process. For more free resources, please visit our Support Portal. SugarCRM has also provided administration and tools for non-technical people to change the application. Administrators can quickly add new fields to suit your business through the Administration view through a drag-and-drop user interface. |
