SugarCRM Named to CRN’s 2012 5-Star Partner Programs Guide
Annual guide and 5-Star designation identifies the IT channel’s most vendor-friendly partner programs
CUPERTINO, Calif.– March 26, 2012 – SugarCRM, the world’s fastest-growing customer relationship management (CRM) company, today announced it has been named to CRN’s 2012 Partner Programs Guide. SugarCRM was also awarded a 5-Star Partner rating. The 2012 CRN Partner Program Guide and CRN 5-Star Rating is the definitive listing of manufacturers and software publishers that service solution providers or provide products to the IT Channel. CRN’s Partner Program Guide recognizes those vendors who have channel programs and derive a portion of their sales through the indirect IT Channel.
In building the list, UBM Channel Research developed a methodology in which vendors are assessed on information provided in their completed applications. The objective criteria takes into account each vendor’s investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.
SugarCRM’s robust channel program can be attributed to the success of its partners. SugarCRM welcomed 150 new VARs this past year, including Blytheco, formerly an exclusive Sage reseller for more than 30 years. As a further testament to SugarCRM’s leadership within the channel ecosystem, CRN earlier this year recognized Jeff Campbell, vice president of worldwide sales and customer advocacy, and Del Ross, vice president of channel sales for North America and Latin America, as two of CRN’s 2012 Channel Chiefs. The 2012 Channel Chiefs are the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel.
“The companies listed in CRN’s 2012 Partner Programs Guide represent a comprehensive list of the best channel programs in the market today,” said Kelley Damore, VP and Editorial Director, for UBM Channel’s CRN. “The 5-star award is reserved for vendors that understand that a successful partnership does not rely solely on the technology. By offering their partners tools, education and regular updates, vendors on this list go above and beyond traditional support to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership.”
“SugarCRM is differentiating itself in the market by showing channel partners how they can optimize their business to drive sales and profitability in the rapidly accelerating CRM market,” said Jeff Campbell, vice president of worldwide sales and customer advocacy for SugarCRM. “Our partners are an extension of us, and we strive to do everything we can to enable them to put their best foot forward in selling Sugar solutions. These aspects of our program constantly lead us to the very best VARs and integrators, and achieving the coveted 5-Star ranking two years in a row is very indicative of this.”
