Reimagining Relationship Management, One Quarterly Release at a TimeWhat can users expect from the Fall ‘18 release of Sugar?  Here’s a small taster from my point of view.  The short answer is more, faster and simpler.

Fundamentally, it is our commitment to continuously deliver the most productive relationship management experience throughout the entirety of our application portfolio.  We facilitate this by focusing primarily on end user productivity.  In the Fall ’18 release, we move forward on this journey by providing better consistency between our desktop and mobile applications.  This allows our users to focus on the task at hand, instead of which tools are available.

In the spirit of productivity, we have completely reimagined the experience for quotes, product catalog and emails.  Each of these modules are now even more focused on helping users quickly accomplish tasks.

Additionally, it’s easier than ever for your business to comply with regional privacy laws and protect your customer data.  Your processes can be enforced, using new workflow actions and triggers which extend on our already excellent capabilities to support your data privacy initiatives.

Users can better understand their business with new out-of-the-box reports and additional visualizations.  When they’re looking for a specific piece of information, they can find what they need faster, thanks to performance and search enhancements.

Oh, and did I mention emoji support? 😍  In the words of our fearless Chief Product Officer Rich Green, “the world is powered by thumbs.” Your business needs to be able to communicate with customers and prospects on their terms.  Native support for emoji ensures that you’re not missing out on the nuances of those interactions.

Elsewhere, our SugarCRM mobile update enables users to generate quotes, view emails and convert leads from anywhere.  CIO’s can have the confidence that users are authenticating using fingerprint or facial recognition technology and that their data is encrypted at rest, so a phone accidentally left on a plane isn’t going to subvert their security strategy.  Offline mode enhancements mean that no signal is no problem and our Mobile SDK and Mobile Application Configuration Service provide further support for custom mobile CRM applications.

The SugarCRM Plug-in for MS Outlook features a reimagined user experience and improved sync performance that help users accomplish tasks more quickly. By leveraging Sugar to find contacts, users or leads when creating meetings in Outlook, users can remain focused on the task at hand. Users can also enable the auto-archival of email and have the ability to select a team upon email archival.

Meanwhile, we’ve delivered some great updates for Hint.  Our latest version automatically retrieves information on prospects and existing customers, enabling users to view relevant news and information, find social feeds, and better understand who they are engaging with.  This ensures that conversations are more informed, accurate and up-to-date., delivering on our commitment to help users be more productive and achieve better conversion rates.

All of these capabilities are available today to customers in Sugar Cloud.  If you aren’t already in the Sugar Cloud, I’d be remiss if I didn’t suggest that you give it another look.  We’ve invested significantly in Sugar Cloud and believe that it offers a best of breed experience for customers.   For those of you die hard customers outside of Sugar Cloud, fear not, this capabilities will be available to you as part of the Sugar 9.0 release.
