Living in Berkeley while working at SugarCRM requires me to drive two to three hours a day, depending on traffic and rush hour. But you know what? It's really worth it. I get to meet and work with great people and actually learn skills that apply to my future career, all while being inside a casual, carefree office.

Being a college grad at SugarCRM means that I get to refine the concepts and skills I learned in college. I have the opportunity to push my abilities further in an environment where I am welcomed, mentored and valued. In my first week I was able to make a direct contribution to the product. I chose SugarCRM because I believe in the product, I believe in the management, and everyone I've met at Sugar is friendly and hard working. I decided to work for SugarCRM not only because I felt it was the best opportunity to enhance my programming skills, but because I'd be able to work in an environment that's open to innovative ideas when it comes to problem-solving and feature enhancements. I felt SugarCRM would allow me to thrive under pressure and reach my creative potential, all the while contributing to the company's goals effectively. I started working at SugarCRM as an intern in Fall 2011, and during this time it became apparent that this would be a wonderful place to spend 40 hours a week. After graduating I was converted to a full-time Software Engineer and couldn't be happier.

It's demonstrated daily by our flat company hierarchy, where executives and employees alike are not only completely approachable, but 100% welcoming to ideas.
