SugarCRM and Capgemini to Partner as Part of Open Source Alliance
New alliance showcases Capgemini’s belief in the power of open solutions; will offer world’s most flexible CRM to firms in the BeNeLux
Utrecht, the Netherlands, November 26 – SugarCRM, the world’s fastest growing customer relationship management (CRM) company, announced a new partnership with Capgemini Nederland B.V., the Dutch subsidiary of Capgemini. This partnership is part of a new alliance between Capgemini and six leading open source technology providers, creating a single point of contact for BeNeLux companies seeking open source solutions.
“The alliance showcases Capgemini’s vision for open source,” said Leo Cardinaals, Capgemini’s open source alliance manager. “After all, open source is mature, more innovative, at times has better quality and is at the least equal to proprietary solutions. The alliance brings together best-of-breed vendors that would enable customers to leverage a platform where these vendors are collaborating best with each other. It is a full-fledged alliance with an end-to-end proposition. This includes consultancy, support and maintenance (on-site, remote or outsourced).”
Under the alliance, Capgemini aims to support its account managers, project leaders and architects with their open source queries, again reiterating Capgemini’s belief in open source solutions. Capgemini positions leading open source solutions as brands equal to Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and IBM and is offering a Total Open Source Stack. The additional open source providers in the alliance include Hippo, Ingres, Pentaho, Red Hat and Zarafa.
“Capgemini’s creation of this open source alliance speaks volumes to the global acceptance and success of open source in the market,” said Tom Schuster, vice president and general manager of SugarCRM Europe. “That such a well respected consultancy has dedicated resources towards furthering the adoption and development of open solutions in the BeNeLux region proves that both Open Source and SugarCRM are now Enterprise ready.
Capgemini and SugarCRM are also co-sponsors of the OSC2010 conference being held in Amsterdam this week at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. Schuster will be giving a presentation titled “The Cloud is Open” on Friday November 26. For more information about the event, visit: http://www.opensourceconference.nl/
