NEW YORK -- Need another private cloud option? Now there's another with the debut of SugarCRM's own Private Cloud.
Announced at the start of the online software company's SugarCon 2013 expo in New York this week, the core purpose for the Sugar Private Cloud is to provide a private, dedicated cloud-based instance of SugarCRM’s customer management software.
In asserting just how private its offering is, Sugar said that its architecture provides a dedicated database for each customer’s data, which is designed to provide "absolute data segregation."
At the same time, the Sugar Private Cloud is set up to work with other global cloud providers to be delivered via worldwide data centers.
With the addition of the Private Cloud, SugarCRM now has three delivery models, with the other two being on-premise and an on-demand, multi-tenant service.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based corporation specified that customers aren't locked into one delivery model. So with the private option rolling out, they could elect to move their deployments among these models.
The Sugar Private Cloud is available now in the United States, Ireland, Singapore, Japan, Australia and Brazil.
