MODULE: Power Prospecting
Hi people, I'm sure you're gonna enjoy this.. Even myself am soooo proud..
Well, everyone knows how hard is to create Prospect Lists to make a campaign. Not anymore!
This module will do the following:
1) Add the Prospect Lists subpanel (or tab) to Contacts, Leads and Prospects detailview. With this you can be adding people to campaigns along the way. For example, everyone could be constantly adding contacts for a Christmas card list. You select contact/lead/prospect manually from a popup.
AND..
2) Contacts, Leads and Prospects Mass Update will have a new item: Prospect List. So, you can do your regular searches and add them all to a Prospect List at once!
Go Power Prospecting now!!
P.S. for Sugar 3.5.1a only

Fantastic! I can not wait to try it.
Where do you find the time to write all these modules and patches?

Rich

Works like a dream! Thank you Mr Milk.
I will have to update my British Language pack to support your modules.

Since we are not using the US or Brazilian language pack the "Prospect List" value shows the key "LBL_PROSPECTLIST_NAME"
I would be very grateful if you could give me a hint how to modify the language packs to support your module. Language files with directory "custom/modules" are automatically generated so I dont want to touch these.
Alternatively, since the standard language packs have the appropiate key/value pair for "Prospect List", can you use the standard definition?

Rich

Unzip the file. Look into the folder languages. You'll find the en_us.lang and pt_br.lang. Copy and edit to create yours and add to the same folder. Open manifest.php. Copy the lines for the language install and change them to reflect your language file name.
Zip it all again and install. That's all.

Re: MODULE: Power Prospecting
New version!
For those who know ACT!, now with this module Sugar will behave like ACT Groups. So, you can add contacts, leads and prospects to Prospect Lists, from Mass Update and from Subpanels.
And now you can also SEARCH using Prospect Lists. That is, you can create groups of records, go to the contact list view and select the Prospect List to start working only with that group. Additionally, you can select a list and fill in search fields to refine the results. You can even bring records from a Prospect List, filter and add them to another Prospect List (using Mass Update).

Re: MODULE: Power Prospecting
You do amazing stuff! This is a cool mod.
A couple of questions ;
1) Can I send email to a prospect list? If so - how?
2) What is the "MASS UPDATE" fucnction you mention. To be honest, I am sort of new to this version of sugar - have been evaluating ...... based on its user security settings over OS sugar ( before your mod that is ), so I may be missing something
Thanks

Yes!! The original idea behind the Prospect List is send email to them all! You do this by: 1) creating an email template (click on Emails, Templates), 2) Creating a campaign (click on Campaigns) with a type "Email", 3) Creating Prospect Lists and filling them you contacts (what this patch does) and finally 4) Adding an EmailMarketing to the campaign (on the Campaign subpanel). You trigger email delivery from Administration/
The mass update is where you can change several records at once. For example, you could set several contacts to have John as assigned user. Go to the ListView and look at the bottom of the page. You will find fields and buttons for that. A new field, Prospect List has been added so you can added several contacts to a Prospect List in a single step.

Re: MODULE: Power Prospecting
OK maybe this is dumb, but where do I find "Listview" or is it a specific view. ( I had installed your subpanel revamp)
BTW - holy cow you respond fast!
OH yeah - and excellent on the power prospecting - this is great!
