£ GBP sign in Flash error

Hi,

We recently upgraded to SugarCRM 4.5 and we have have found that the £ sign ion the flash looks like it has some character set issues.
See attached image below.

The rest of the site works well any ideas as to what is causing the problem?

Hi,

This is a problem that has been around for a while, at least with the Euro symbol. For the £ sign, enter the following unicode value & # 163; without the blank and with the semi-colon.

Where do you change this to affect the currency in the flash? I tried Currency location in setting but this did not affect it.

Change it in your config.php and/or config_override.php.

Hi,

IF GBP is your standard currency, then changing it in local settings should work. If it is one of several currencies, then it needs to be changed in the appropriate currency record.

P.S. Maybe clearing the cache for the Dashlets (Repair . Ckear Cache Dashletes) will solve the problem

I have changed it in a php files but no joy. I get a feeling for the issue now, so I will do some digging.
