I am also facing the Same Issue as Gmail is sending the Original Message not as an attachment but as a new message which is scan by Sugar I have seen the Code and Hence the message(Campaign) status is shown as seen as 'Viewed' instead of Bouce ,
I have looked into the Code for the same but the /moudules.Campaigns/ProcessEmailBounce.php
does not come into the picture instead of control goes to modules/campaigns/image.php
If anyone have solution to this please let me know ,

But it says the it does not process if Email coming as an attachment but I guess in case of GMAIL as an IMAP Server seperate new Email is coming that is causing the issue of status not being recorded as Bounce in Campaign Status
