My 500th post

Well, thought I'd save my 500th post for this...! I like to think that number is an indication of a contribution to open source - though some might say it's an indication that I out to be getting more work done in the office!

I've an IT background going back to university days and working as an IT admin looking after Sun boxes. After a brief escape as a musician, I can back to find these things called PCs were popular and you had to pay for software!!!!!! Blimey - the way things change.

Anyway - since then, I've rekindled my UNIX interest via Linux to the point where my day to day job is open source based.

Hi stevec, outstanding!! Hitting your 500th post, especially in the manner you did as a special post, is quite an accomplishment. And to have done so exactly at the top of the hour (3:00am PDT) is truly remarkable.

Tell us: were you hunched over the Submit Thread button, carefully eyeing your watch as the time counted down?

In any event, thank you for your participation. I personally hope to catch up to you one day!!

Also, what do you think of the Release 4.5 saved view mechanism? Will this lead to a dramatic drop-off in your posts since sorting (presumably) will no longer be an issue?

The 3.00pm thing (it was 11am here) was just pure fluke.

Don't worry - once the sort thing is implemented, I'll be on the "edit and create contacts, accounts, calls, meetings and notes all from the same screen at the same time" jag. Should keep me busy up to the 1000!
