Moving the tracker URL?

I have an HTML email campaign all set up and ready to go ... tested it, all works, except for the tracker URL. Well, technically the tracker url works, I get the hits and everything. It's all good, except that it's not where I want it to be in the email. I would like to grab the URL and attach it to the nice, pretty looking image link that I spent so much time creating. It seems to me that this URL would be accessible as a variable like the contact name and many other variables are, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Am I missing something? Is there a workaround? Can I grab a different variable, and create the URL myself?

Excellent. Glad to hear that I am not the first person to want this. In the meantime, do you have a suggestion to go about doing this. I am comfortable around PHP and MySQL.

Try this, In you campaingn definition leave the tracker text empty but set a value for the tracker URL.
In you campaingn email tempalate add the tracker text at the desired location, now surroud the tracker text with TRACKER_URL_START and TRACKER_URL_END.

at run time the text should get converted into a reference and llnked with the tracker url. As Manoj mentioned earlier we are improving this part of campaign managemnt.

I will give that a try. Thank you for your quick response. I look forward to the changes that you are making. At the risk of sounding like a groupie, I am very happy with Sugar and with the improvments that I have been able to make to my business since moving to it.

I did this and the link came up in the email making the text I surrounded be a URL. However, when I get the email and click on the URL it didn't forward me to the destination URL. Only the URL in sugar where it tracks the click thru. So we had a click thru but the target is stuck at a blank page without being forwarded to the real URL...
