Campaigns send mail, but not resend to the same targets.

Hello all!

I'm new in SugarCRM, and having success in the management of this powerful tool.

Congratulations for the developers that have built an excellent application, and more, have publicated on the "open source mode".

I installed the 4.2.0a version on a Linux box (Fedora Core 5), and "all" is working fine.

We just have only one problem (that I don't know if it's a problem): on email campaigns, the emails are going out to the targets list only one time per target.

When I resend the same Email Marketing to the same targets, or when I create a new Email Marketing with other email model, the emails are going out, but not really, because they are not coming in the mail box.

The emails go to the Email Queue, and I know about this because on Admin -> Manage Email Queue I see them, but when I click do send, they disappear, and don’t do to the sent items on the status of the campaign.

Anyone can help me?

I need to solve this issue, because it’s elementary to decide about the live of SugarCRM in my office. The sales department resends the email marketing sometimes (sure the client requests the resend).

This is done because when you have really large target list it is hard to tell which email addresses are duplicate.

Hello,

I'm using 4.2.0c and I have quite the same problem but with the "send test" function..
My test target group contains 4 email addresses.
It works perfectly the first time.
But when I do some other tests, the email is not send to all address, just to 2 of 4.

We have a campaign for example to invite people to a seminar with the first email. Inside the same marketing campaign we would run a 2nd email to remind them the day before the campaign to come to the seminar.

I looks like you are saying that there has to be a completely new campaign created for the reminder email? This doesn't sound very logical.

I can understand the reasoning behind sending only one email per email address, but wouldbn't it be more sensible for your query to sort by emailaddress and by the emailname (ie related) to stop the dupes.

We are experiencing the same issue. Creating seperate campaigns is not a solution.
I have 3 instances within a campaign.
1. event invitation
2. event reminder
3. dinner invitation

We are already doing that. Changing the template (i.e. a new template) and creating a new email marketing instance within a single campaign to send the new template.

I am Using Windows XP as my OS and Sugar Suite BitRock Windows Installer and i am facing problems in sending the scheduled Mails so plz help me in this matter.

We will fix this in the upcoming releases. 4.2.1 will potentially have it or else 4.5 will defintely have this fix.
