    Default Batch Delay Time?

    Hi,

Just a quick question. When you say set the email batch size to 200, what is the time between batchs?

ie. you are sending out 600 emails, it sends the first 200 at 9:00, when is it going to send the second and third batches?

    Thanks,

The default scheduler is set up to do it every hour. but you can alter the schedule for campaign emails to process more frequently but I recommend not doing it more than every 15 min. This allows other processing to be done by the system. Emails are very delay prone and can quickly flood a small pipe (T1/E1 about 1.5/2Mbps) into the internet quickly. I am running about 500 every 15 min with a dual Xeon server with 1GB of memory using sendmail. SMTP is not fast enough to send that many emails before the php timeout limit is reached. Using sendmail is the fastest way to hand off email that will be reliably delivered. I use postfix but any email server can work if it emulates sendmail.
    Cheers,
