Sugar Professional Release Notes Version 5.5.2

Introduction

This document describes the requirements, new features, enhancements, and known limitations in Sugar Professional 5.5.2.

You can upgrade from Sugar versions from 5.5.0 and 5.5.1to Sugar 5.5.2. All Sugar 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 plug-ins and extensions are compatible with Sugar 5.5.2.

Note:

It is strongly recommended that you test 5.5.2 on a copy of your production system.

Requirements

Requirements for 5.5.2 are as follows:

•	Increase the value of the memory_limit parameter in the php.ini file as follows:

•	MySQL Server: 40M or higher

•	MS SQL Server: 40M or higher

•	To install Sugar 5.5.2 successfully, ensure that the Multibyte String (mbstring) module is installed in your PHP libraries.

•	If you are using MySQL, install version 5.0 or higher to use with Sugar 5.5.2.

•	For Microsoft Exchange, Sugar supports only versions 2000 and higher.

•

In order to better support multi-byte character storage with Microsoft SQL Server, you can configure Sugar to use FreeTDS driver. See “Installation Prerequisites and Guidelines” in the Sugar Professional Installation and Administration Guide. Notes:

1.	Strict mode is supported for MYSQL.

2.	The PHP setting, MBstring.func_overload =7 is supported.

Known Limitations

The Microsoft SQL Server driver version 1.0, does not support UTF8. Therefore, use the FreeTDS Driver.

Bug 15376, 34711

Adding a custom field as a filter in Sugar Dashlets results in an error.

Bug 28757

Tax Rate List View does not have pagination controls.

In Sugar Plug-in for Outlook, when you click “Send and Archive”, the application does not find the contact associated with the email address.

Time taken to load List Views increases as page size increases.

When more than one email marketing record is assigned to a campaign, the page browser buttons on the Campaign Statistics page can unexpectedly change the list size.

Any value you enter in the “Discount from List” field when creating a product in the Product Catalog is not saved. Instead, the value defaults back to “1”.
