Chapter 2 Navigating the User Interface : Integrating Data from External Sources
Typically, you use the import functionality to add a large volume of data from an external system. For information on importing data, see “Importing Data” on page 129.
You can also add data from external data sources to a Sugar record from the Detail View. For example, you can search for additional information about an individual or an organization, and use the data to enhance or replace data in Sugar. Your system administrator must enable this functionality in Sugar to allow you to use it within Sugar modules. Sugar provides a connector toLinkedIn.
The screenshot below illustrates the Detail View of a record from the Leads module. If the system administrator has enabled LinkedIn for the module, its symbol displays next to the account name.

To view LinkedIn data, ensure that you are logged into LinkedIn. Point the cursor at the LinkedIn symbol in the Sugar record, and from the pop-up window, select the connections that you want to view.
